The only thing that I can presume is that at the time my shoulder-length flaxen locks had her so bewildered in a state of like love-tizzy that the whole thing just seems like it was a vision from heaven.
Max Mosley, the aristocrat at the center of this scandal, is the son of the late Lord Oswald Mosley — the leader of the British Union of Fascists — and Diana, Lady Mosley — better known as Diana Mitford, one of the six notorious Mitford sisters. I’m in the middle of researching the Mitfords for a creative project I’m working on, and was stunned to find this story in this week’s news.
For those of you who aren’t British history nerds, for whom ‘Diana Mosley’s son got caught asking prostitutes to dress as Nazis’ is already enough to make the jaw drop, I should note that Oswald and Diana Mosley were the explicit models that J.K. Rowling used for Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy — Bellatrix and Andromeda are based on Diana’s sisters Unity (who was obsessively in love with Hitler) and Jessica Mitford (a communist who ran away to America and became a civil rights activist), respectively.
So basically: Draco Malfoy just got caught in his old age having an orgy with five dominatrices he paid to dress in Nazi costume.
Of course he did.
